us that we will not miss out on anything. Behavior will
be monitored daily, and you will be notified how your son/
daughter fared. Each child has a pocket with cards in it.
A conduct grade will be given daily based on which card
they are on at the end of the day:
Smiley Face Conduct Grade = E (0 points)
Warning Conduct grade = S (0 points)
Uh-Oh Face (5 minutes time-out) Conduct grade = S- (1 point)
Straight Face (10 minutes time-out) Conduct grade = N (3 points)
Sad Face (20 minutes time out & Note/call home) Conduct grade = U (5 points)
*To be able to participate in TRACK Day, student must have less than 10 pts.*
They will start every day with a smiley face and hopefully
it will stay that way! However I know that we all make
mistakes, and everybody deserves a warning, so if they have
to move their name once, I will not record it in their calendar.
If they get 5 minutes or more, you will see it noted.
Please initial the behavior calendar daily so I know that you
have seen your child’s behavior for the week. If I have written
something in the box, please discuss with your child what would
have been a better alternative to what they did. Please remember
to praise your child for all good days!
Every Friday those who have kept a smiley face all week will take
a trip to the treasure box.
Students also have the opportunity to fill up their own sticker
chart. I give alot of brags for good behavior. Once they have
filled up their sticker chart, they pick out a "coupon". Coupons
include: Teacher for a day, eat lunch with a friend, sit anywhere
in the room for a day, play the computer during naptime, etc.
Keeping Our Kids on T.R.A.C.K.
To help promote positive behavior at AtokaElementary School, we
will implement a school-wide reward program. T.R.A.C.K. stands
for “Tremendous, Respectful, And Courteous Kids” and will recognize
those students who maintain good behavior. All teachers at ATES
will follow this system. The points students accumulate will
determine the conduct grade on their report card as well as if
they qualify for the T.R.A.C.K. reward at the end of each nine-
weeks period. Below is the daily point system that will be used:
S- = 1 point N = 3 points U = 5 points
Point totals:
0-10 points for the 9-week period = S on report card
11-20 points for the 9-week period = N on report card
21+ points for the 9-week period = U on report card
To attend reward activity:
No office referrals
Must have an S in conduct on the report card (which includes
related arts classes)
No bus referrals/write-ups
No cafeteria or early duty misconduct
Our goal is for every student to be able to attend.
Cut off dates for T.R.A.C.K. points each nine-weeks:
1st nine weeks October 8, 2008 reward activity: October 10, 2008
2nd nine weeks December 16, 2008 reward activity: December 18, 2008
3rd nine weeks March 13, 2008 reward activity: March 19, 2009
4th nine weeks May 20, 2008 reward activity: May 21, 2009
If you have any questions about the T.R.A.C.K. program, please just ask me.
